Many children have problems of recurrent or chronic nasal congestion. The problem can be due to allergic irritation (such as dust mites, pollen, etc.), dietary factors (such as cow’s milk reactions), or recurrent infections and blockages in the nasal passages.

  1. It is also important to identify potential irritants that either continually trigger the symptoms or hinder the child from recovery, such as airborne irritants, dietary problems, and so on. These different issues need to be carefully examined to see which are relevant to address for the child. If there are airborne factors, cleaning the dust mites and using an air filtering system would help
  2. The same dietary precautions need to be taken. Children in the age range of 7–10 years, who get nasal congestion that often results from sinus infection and may have been treated with antibiotics.

Below is a video of pediatric acupressure which may bring relief to your kids when they have sinus pressure or nasal congestion.
